Message from the Head 10th June 2016

Thank you for all your generous donations towards our Summer Fayre! The Fayre will go ahead as planned straight after school on Monday. Although the weather is variable at this point we will continue as planned with our Royal Variety Performance. We have bought tents which will provide some shelter if it should shower. Parents are most welcome to join us, but will appreciate that if it is torrential rain we may have to cancel at short notice. We will use the usual mechanisms eg; text message or dojo to keep parents informed of any changes. If you are planning to join us please arrive from 12.45 and enter the site from the upper school pedestrian entrance and then use the footpath around the school. As you will be aware we have had to risk assess the event and part of our safeguarding precautions rely on parents entering and exiting the site as requested. We will also have a roped off area in front of the performance area for parents to watch the performance. This area will be cordoned off from the children. Please respect this and do not let younger children run free. Please come prepared with something to sit on and an umbrella or two!!

We are aiming for the performance to finish just before 3pm to enable us to escort the children back to classrooms, so they can be dismissed in the usual way. Again this is for the health and safety of all children and to ensure we know where children are at all times. KS1 and EYFS children will then be handed over to their adult in the usual way. We hope that parents and children will then remain on site and enjoy our Summer Fayre. There will be refreshments, including a hog roast (approx £3.50), bouncy castle and slide, all sorts of games and stalls. The raffle will also be drawn, so if you have sold your prize draw tickets, please make sure the ticket stubs and money are returned to school on Monday.
