Message from the Head – 3rd March 2017

The children looked amazing yesterday dressed as book characters for World Book Day. Thank you for all your efforts!

We had to have some of our pancake races indoors on Tuesday due to the rain but we enjoyed them all the same.

Children will receive a little book about Lent as we prepare for Easter this half term.

Well done to Year 5 who had an amazing array of inventions at their very own Great Exhibition. A huge thank you to the many parents who really got involved in supporting their child with this. Next week I have a little reward planned for all participants!!

In response to Year 6 parent requests we held a Grammar, Punctuation and Spelling workshop on Thursday. Sadly only 11 parents attended which was rather disappointing. I hope those who did attend found it worthwhile, thank you. Please note the forthcoming evenings for Big Maths, Calculations and e-Safety, which is a real eye opener and can really help protect your child.

It is wonderful to welcome Mrs Ralfe back after a long period of absence. Mrs Ralfe is delighted to announce that she is expecting her first child in the summer holidays. We are also delighted to announce that Mrs Massey will remain with us until the end of the year securing the continuity in Reception. Parents’ evenings which were postponed for RVO and 2TR can now be booked by appointment via our text messaging system, invites have been sent out today. The staff are keen to offer day time appointments too in order to avoid further delay.

Please see the reminder below regarding our Mother’s Day lunch . Every year this is a very popular event and have had some disappointed children in the past.
