The grand total raised for Comic Relief last week amounted to £827.50, as well as our non-uniform day this included the sale of red noses, a bake sale and a sponsored silence. A huge thank you for supporting this cause.
Our Easter church services take place next week on Thursday at 9:15 for Lower School and 11:00 for Upper School. As usual we can accommodate some parents at the lower school service but due to numbers are unable to do so at the upper school service. Year 1 parents/carers also have the opportunity to join their child’s class on Thursday from 2:15pm, to hear about what the children have learned about Easter.
Year 2 have dress up day on Friday to celebrate the end of their ‘Towers, Tunnels and Turrets’ for this term. At 2:30pm, parents are invited into classes to share the children’s work.
Congratulations to the six children who represented North Warwickshire in the County Cross Country Finals on Saturday. They all did incredibly well and we are extremely proud of all of them – Emme Leeson, Lois Leeson, Rio Prota, Ajay Smith, Laina Smith and Tom Wainwright. More amazing sports news to report this week as The Canons swimming team competed in the BPSSA swimming gala on Thursday. It was a hard fought competition with our boys coming second overall by two points and our girls coming second by one point. However, when the team scores were totalled it was announced that The Canons had won the competition! All of the children worked extremely hard and deserved to win. The P.E. Staff are very proud of them all – Lewis Akers, Lucie Babic, Haiden Bridge, Emilie Burton, Jack Dixon, Sam Fitzgerald, Emma Gazey, Jenna Gill, Honey Harris, Jamie Hewitt, Ellis Jones, Lois Leeson, Dakota Phillips, Athena Randle, Kiera Smith, Mason Swift, Tom Wainwright and Harrison Watkins.
We still have parents dropping off children to Breakfast Club using our car park. This has caused difficulty to some staff trying to enter school as parents are trying to leave. Please avoid using the car park
