Sports News – 7th April 2017

Well done to the basketball teams who took part in a basketball festival on Monday. We had two teams in the competition and both teams performed brilliantly to get into the final. Needless to say, we won the competition and came second as well! The players who represented the school were: Morgan Masters, Rio Prota, Rhianna Hall, Poppy Kirkham, Noah West, Reuben Deeming, Aiden Prestige, Jamie Emslie, Sam Gorring, Tom Wainwright and Ellis Jones

Congratulations to all those who participated in the EYFS & KS1 Multiskills Football Festival yesterday and may thanks to all the grown ups for such superb support. The Canons welcomed Goodyers End, St. Michael’s and Park Lane schools, with the Canons coming first in the competition. A special mention to Liam Smith, 2LW who won the prestigious Nicholas Chamberlaine Sports Leaders Future Football award beating over 80 competitors across Nuneaton and Bedworth to the trophy! Special thanks to Mrs Brook and Mr Allen for their help yesterday with both teams and a very special THANK YOU to Mr Wood for organising the event.
