Message from the Head

16th March 2018

We have had a very exciting week at The Canons.  On Tuesday we celebrated the upper school’s 50th birthday.  The Bishop attended our celebrations and officially opened our bus.  He also presented us with our very own cross of nails as we have become an ICON School.

Bishop Christopher and Canon Linda Wainscott also judged our Bake Off competition.  The standard of the entries was exceptional, thank you to all of you that entered.  The children were amazing at explaining their part in the wonderful cake creations (not a soggy bottom in sight!!)  Then as you will know we performed two fantastic concerts.  Thank you for the lovely feedback we have received.  The children as always did us proud.  The work produced about life in the 60s and inspired by our time capsule, is exhibited in the upper school library next to the studio.  This will be open to parents next week before or after school, your child can show you the exhibits.

As you will see next Friday is bingo night with a non uniform day on the same day in return for bingo prizes please (see over for more details).

It was lovely to see our children receive their awards last Saturday at the Festival of Arts presentation in Nuneaton.  Many thanks to those who attended to represent the school admirably.
